Lend Lease and its partners are the Olympic Delivery Authority's preferred development partner for zones 2-7 of Stratford City, which includes the Athletes Village.
The Lend Lease team will develop the site in two phases from 2008 to 2011, then 2013 to 2020. Bovis Lend Lease will be a key player in the delivery of the development throughout both phases.
Phase One is worth around £2 billion and involves the development of around 4,200 homes and related infrastructure and support services. The homes will become the Athletes Village for the London 2012 Games. Construction will start in summer 2008 and finish late in 2011.
Phase Two involves refurbishing the Athletes Village after the Games, and developing a further 500,000 square metres of commercial, retail, residential and community space. This will complete the regeneration of this area in the period from 2013 to 2020.
